Enjoy a day out with emerald hills, medieval past, and Irish grey skies in the historic site of Glendalough valley. Glendalough is a monastic site from the 7th century and the Glendalough valley is a green valley with two interconnecting mountain lakes and woods, where the medieval site is set.
Even Dubliners come to this area with children countless times. Put on proper walking shoes and enjoy easy routes like Green Route with a flat path and boardwalk lakeside walks in the valley. Green Route is suitable for pushchairs and lasts about 50 mins.
