Shoot two birds with one stone while getting to Basílica da Estrela by taking the yellow tram 28 which is famous for taking visitors to all the right places in Lisbon. Basílica da Estrela is a neoclassical 18th-century impressive church.
In the church that is decorated with different-coloured marbles, there is the queen’s majestic tomb and a nativity scene made of 500 cork and terracotta pieces.
The surrounding area is also a reason to visit the church. Across the street, there are the Estrela Gardens with duck ponds and playgrounds and a local cafe.
