Located close to Castille Place, the Upper Barrakka Gardens offer impressive views of the island from the garden terrace.
The gardens feature a collection of busts, statues and plaques that denote various personalities and other significant events in Maltese history, including ‘Les Gavroches’, the most noteworthy bronze piece by a famous Maltese sculptor.
The Upper Barrakka Lift is also a popular attraction that links the Grand Harbour to the Upper Barrakka Gardens and Valletta city centre. Roundtrip costs €1 per person.
The gardens have an Upper Barrakka Kiosk for a light snack or the famous Maltese pastizzi.
