Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho)

Wat Pho (also called Wat Phra Chetuphon) is the oldest and largest temple complex in Bangkok that holds the biggest collection of Buddha images. One of the sights to find is the Reclining Buddha, a huge golden Buddha lying on his side.

Other highlights include Royal Pagodas covered in flower design porcelain mosaics, Chinese rock giants, the Main Chapel, over 350 golden statues of Buddha, miniature stone mountains, and others.

Have yourself and your kids wear convenient footwear as you will have to take it off often. Also, even though Grand Palace and Wat Pho are close to each other, it is not recommended to visit them on the same day because of the many buddhas and garudas blurring together.
