Australian Maritime Museum captures the sea, ocean and waterways themes of the island with amazing artefacts, lively exhibitions and activities for kids including a chance to board ships.
During school term, 2 – 5 year-olds are invited to Mini Mariners where they can explore galleries, sing and dance in interactive tours with costumed guides. Toddlers can enjoy creative free play, games, dress-ups, and storytime in the themed activity area.
The museum also offers an educator-led Seaside Stroller Tour for families with babies up to 18 months where you stroll through the latest exhibition and have some baby playtime in a sensory space afterwards.
Tickets: adults – $25, child under 15 – $15, child under 4 – FREE, Family – $70. Family includes 2 adults and up to 3 children aged 4-15.
Seaside Stroller Tour – FREE for babies, $23 for adults. The entry includes morning/afternoon tea and admission to the exhibition. Bookings essential.
