Balmoral has several beaches on one. There are cafes, an enclosed playground, an esplanade to stroll along, and a little island across a bridge.
The beach also includes rock pools, the promenade, a rotunda, and the beautiful Bathers’ Pavilion.
Balmoral has a long stretch of beach with sheltered waters and great views of North Head. With smaller children, you can start at the Balmoral baths area at the southern end beside two cafes/kiosks.
There is some shade on the sand in the afternoon great with babies and toddlers.
A wide promenade runs along a large portion of the beach and is great for a stroll or a bike ride.
