The Ħaġar Qim Temples stand on a hilltop unravelling spectacular views of the sea. Visitors can wander around a series of prehistoric apses and learn more about early human life in Malta.
At one of the prehistoric chambers, there is an elliptical hole aligned with the Summer Solstice sunrise. At sunrise, on the first day of summer, the sun’s rays pass through this hole and illuminate a stone slab inside the chamber.
