Karawatha Forest Park is a wildlife haven and a home to a Discovery Centre, numerous walking tracks, two picnic areas, and a cool nature play space.
The Discovery centre engages kids from the very beginning with a tree-frame walkway by the entrance followed by the floor-based light display of the frog habitat. There are interactive digital experiences, places to sit and read books, audio and visual experiences, an arts and crafts table for kids, and Bush Kindy hosted on several days of the week for babies and toddlers aged 0-5. The centre also includes animal experiences, a native bee hive, and a native plant nursery.
Karawatha Forest Park also includes a water pump, sheltered tables, barbeques, a network of pram accessible bushwalking tracks, toilets, a filtered water station, and a large car park.
The interactive Discovery Centre is FREE to visit.
