Set in a historic old Bangkok neighbourhood, there is over a century old Nang Loeng Market. Just like other markets, it is filled with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood, but it is particularly known for ready-to-eat Thai dishes. Visit for authentic Thai meals and desserts like Pla Nam (pork sausage with minced rice), which is rare to find nowadays, Sa Goo Sai Mhoo and Khao Krieb Pak Mhoa (made from rice and tapioca flour filled with pork cooked with garlic onion), and Thai dessert bites (banana, taro, and others).
The market is for all early birds. Most of the stalls will be closed if you arrive past lunchtime. It also gets super busy during lunchtime on weekends.
