If you’re not afraid of elephants or wide spiders in the wild, visit Pala-U Waterfall in the Kaeng Krachan National Park, Thailand’s largest nature preserve.
The park features unspoiled rainforest with giant trees and a number of animal and bird species. Your toddler will also spot countless brightly coloured butterflies gathering in large groups.
The best time to visit is from July to November because of varying water levels, but the pleasant hike with some exercise is worth doing in order to see the waterfall and spend time in the nature.
Food or drinks in the park are not allowed. Near the park entrance, there is a picnic area and a small restaurant that offers Thai dishes like rice with chicken or pork as well as soft drinks, tea, and coffee.
