Saigon Zoo And Botanic Gardens are one of the world’s oldest zoos housing more than 550 animals, 1,800 trees, and 260 plant species. Originally a botanical garden representing a diverse green ecosystem the site is now divided into a zoo area, ornamental plants and orchids, and a play area for all ages.
One of the highlights of the park that is suitable for families with younger children is that there is a tram to visit the whole botanical garden. Tickets are sold near the control gate on Le Duan Street (20,000 VND per ticket). There is also a Children’s Zoo where the little ones can feed animals through the fence and even cuddle some of them (babies can cuddle, too!).
Adjacent to the zoo, there is the Saigon National Museum and the World War I Monument.
Tickets: 50,000 VND for adults, 30,000 VND for children.
