Visit the royal residence of King Harald V and Queen Sonja at their home at The Royal Palace.
Completed in mid 19th century it showcases a neo-classical style and how the Norwegian royalty used to live in rooms like Mirror Hall, White Parlour, Family Dining Room, and many others.
There is the Royal Palace Park surrounding the palace that has immaculate trees, ponds and statues to gaze at.
Don’t forget to come around 1.30 pm (any day), so your toddler could witness the changing of the guards. The service at the Palace Chapel takes place on Sundays at 11 am.
The Royal Palace doesn’t allow strollers, but you can park them before starting the tour. All visitors must follow the guided tour through the Palace. Be aware, kids are asked to remain quiet.
