If you’re out and about in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Williamstown Beach is the area to visit on a beautiful day.
It is a family-friendly clean sandy beach ideal for sandcastles, sunbathing, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding as the water is calm with small waves, and the area is patrolled near the surf club.
There are restaurants, kiosks, and public showers and toilets scattered along the esplanade. The beach also has a large picnic area and playground for kids.
